- GENERAL REQUIREMENTS & DRIVERS QUALIFICATIONS
To be able to rent a vehicle from Meteora Rent a Car you must:
- Be at least 21 years old
- Hold a Greek, European (for EU countries) or International (for not EU countries) driving license for at least 1 year
- Be a credit card holder, accepted by Meteora Rent a Car, for the pre-authorization of the amounts related to the guarantee, the advance payment and the payment of the rental cost (for unpaid reservations).
Only drivers mentioned in the rental agreement are and allowed to drive a Meteora Rent a Car vehicle
Upon receipt of the car, Meteora Rent a Car will preauthorise an amount from the driver’s credit card as a deposit for guarantee which will be fully refunded at the end of the rental, provided no other charges arise. Please note that the refund can take up to 14 days, depending on the issuing bank of the credit card. The amount of the deposit varies according to the vehicle group. Specifically:
- Cars: 500 €
- Scooters: 50 €

All Meteora Rent a Car vehicles should only be driven on paved roads. The Insurance will not cover any damages that may occur to the car if it has been driven on an unpaved road
- For 0-2 Day Rentals there is a limit of 100km/Day which is more than enough to explore Meteora.
- For 3+ Day Rentals there is no mileage limit.
- The Scooter is only for Meteora – Kalambaka – Kastraki area!
There is a 30 minute period of grace. After this period there will be an extra day charge.
In case of return of the car earlier than the date shown in the reservation there will be no refund.

Please note that changes to the reservation are subject to a recalculation of the reservation’s cost, based on the availability and prices at the time the change is made.
